After reading Lawrence Weschler's Mr. Wilson's Cabinet of Wonder, Anne and Paul Gulley of Elkin, North Carolina gathered up the curious specimens they'd collected over the years and turned a room of their house into an ersatz wunderkammer,
complete with an alligator on the ceiling (requisite), a stuffed
hamster (family pet), two horse skulls (Katrina victims), a knitted
dissected frog (hence the "ersatz"), and many other objects.
DETAILS AND DIRECTIONS
We'll be meeting at 332 W. Main Street Elkin, NC. The Cabinet will be open on March 20 from 1:00 - 6:00 pm.
